      The VCC Vertical Centrifugal Coater is suitable for most different tablet forms. Conventional round tablets of different sizes, special forms (oblongs, bi-plane tablets) as well as micro tablets are coated with excellent quality.

      DIOSNA uses a specially developed multiple head nozzle. Its single nozzles are installed in a rotation-symmetrical way at a compact distributor head. As the media lines run completely inside the multiple head nozzle, a very clean, GMP-conform installation without freely running hose pipes arises.
      Because of the high mixing quality the product is only sprayed very shortly during the spraying process, but very often. Compared with traditional coating plants this results in a very homogeneous coating over the whole tablet surface.

      The coding of single tablets is kept clear even with complicated figures or patterns. This leads to a homogeneous and high-quality appearance of the whole tablet batch.

      The VCC Vertical Centrifugal Coater consists of a conical product bowl which lower part is rotating around a vertical axis and an upper conical part. The rotational movement causes a centrifugal acceleration of the tablets which makes the tablets move upwards at the bowl wall. In the static upper bowl area the tablets are decelerated and led back to the centre. The spiral movement caused this way cares for ideal mixing of the tablets without any dead spots.

      In the center of the bowl a spraying system is installed which sprays the tablet bed homogeneously with coating medium.

      Already immediately after absorption of the spray liquid the first drying of the tablet surface is effected by the warm drying air. The air is led directly through the tablet bed and cares for an immediate and efficient drying of the tablet cores.

    Single Pot Processor VAC 150 - 2000

    The Diosna-VAC Series is designed for mixing, granulating and vacuum drying of pharmaceutical products in a closed system.

    The mixing bowl is cylindrical with two heating zones and isolation. The hinged lid is actuated automatically and it is heated to avoid condensation. The bowl bottom is equipped with gasstripping nozzles of Sinter metal which care for very fine and gentle distribution of the gas. The nozzles are suitable for WIP and can be lifted pneumatically for inspection. One blade of the mixing tool is equipped with a wall scraper which removes deposits without touching the wall. This way sensitive or strongly adhesive products can be dried in a very short time. Opposite to the usual mixer/granulators the chopper of the VAC series is installed from above (otherwise it would collide with the scraper).

    The machine is designed consequently for WIP/CIP cleaning. Operation of the fully automatic plant control is done via an industrial PC.

    The vacuum unit, the heating/cooling system, the switch cabinets, the WIP unit etc. are installed in a technical zone which should be placed directly behind the machine. The VAC is accessible from the technical zone.

    Fluid Bed Processor Midi-Lab

    Diosna Midi-Lab interchangeable bowl fluid bed processor for research and development. The Midi-Lab is the next larger laboratory fluid bed processor after the Mini-Lab, offering an increased range of applications. The machine has 4 interchangeable bowl sizes: 3, 10, 13 & 20 liters allowing the production of larger sample batches. The fluid bed is 10 bar shock-proof and can be equipped with an industrial PC for comprehensive batch reporting and process control.

    Numerous options are offered such as: solvent operation, automatic feeding, automatic discharging and air conditioning systems make sure that the plant corresponds to the functions and processing parameters of production plants. This is the basis for rapid and scalable transfer of laboratory results to pilot and production capacity batches.

    Of course the Mini-Lab XP laboratory fluid bed plant can be tested with individual products at our laboratory at any time. It is also possible to rent the machine for tests at customer site.

    The Diosna laboratory mixers P/VAC 10 - 60 are flexible laboratory/pilot scale high shear granulators and granulator vacuum dryers (one pot processor). The machines can be equipped with 10 & 60 liter high shear granulator bowls or 20 & 50 liter vacuum dryer bowls. Different bowls can be added at a later stage. Additionally, a machine initially designed as a high shear granulator can also be extended later to incorporate vacuum drying.

    The vacuum drying bowls are of cylindrical design and equipped with gas-stripping nozzles, the cover is operated pneumatically. One of the main rotor tips is extended to form a scraper to prevent deposits on the bowl wall, as with the production machines. Thus easy scale-up is assured. The “through-the-wall“ setup for a technical zone is included as standard for vacuum drying, as the vacuum pump and heating/cooling device are arranged for set up in a technical area.

    The Diosna CGS (Compact Granulation System) is state of the art granulation production in the world's most compact, flexible and integrated plant.

    The CGS system is engineered from the ground up to optimize yield and operator ergonomics. The results are very impressive and have given the Pharmaceutical Industry a new leading standard in excellence of design.
